Scholarships Available to Adjuncts and Their Families

Once again Adjunct Local 6025 will be offering scholarships to two adjunct members who are furthering their education at Montclair University and to two children of adjunct members attending Montclair.

The minimum requirements for children of adjunct members are the applicant must be a full time student, who has completed of at least two semesters and has a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 at the end of the fall semester of 2019 (copy of transcript is required.)

The minimum requirement for an adjunct professor member is pursuit of a Masters or Doctoral degree or an advanced certificate in a discipline such as Supervisor or Principal or other advanced certificate. (Proof of status is required.)

For both scholarships, previous recipients are eligible to apply. If more than 4 applications are received, the scholarships will be awarded to the applicants closest to graduation who have not previously received the award.

Applications for the scholarships must be postmarked no later than March 6thth. Applications can be obtained by calling Local 6025’s office at 975-655-3298 or going to the Local’s website (http://06502.nj.aft.org) under Membership/Benefits/scholarship.
